THE MANIFESTO

An engineering
doctrine.

Eight principles that govern everything we build, fund, and believe. These are not suggestions. They are constraints we impose on ourselves and everyone who enters the LockIn ecosystem.

“The world has enough pitch decks. What it needs is more deployed infrastructure.”

— LOCKIN LABS FOUNDING THESIS
01
DOCTRINE 01

We don't invest in ideas. We invest in infrastructure.

The gap between a good idea and a good company is measured in deployed code. We look for founders who've already built the first version — messy, imperfect, but alive. Ideas are free. Execution is expensive. We pay for execution.

02
DOCTRINE 02

Your codebase is your pitch deck.

We will never ask for a 12-slide deck, a TAM/SAM/SOM calculation, or a competitor matrix. We will ask for your GitHub, your Vercel dashboard, and your error monitoring logs. The architecture tells us everything the slides don't.

03
DOCTRINE 03

Ship weekly or lose access.

Every engineer and founder in the LockIn network ships observable progress every single week. Not planning. Not researching. Shipping. We use public accountability channels where weekly demos are recorded and archived. If you go dark for two weeks, your access is revoked.

04
DOCTRINE 04

Small teams, unreasonable velocity.

The best AI products in history were built by teams of 2-5 people moving at speeds that made larger organizations embarrassed. We engineer for this. We never assign an 8-person team to a problem a 2-person team could solve overnight.

05
DOCTRINE 05

Architecture reviews over brainstorming sessions.

We believe the highest-leverage meeting is an architecture review. Bring your system design, your database schema, your inference pipeline topology. We will find the flaw before production does. This is how we add value.

06
DOCTRINE 06

Capital is oxygen, not fuel.

Money doesn't accelerate bad companies. It just lets them die slower. We deploy $500K–$1.5M only after a founder has demonstrated product-market signal with real users. The capital is oxygen — to sustain what's already breathing — not fuel for something that hasn't ignited.

07
DOCTRINE 07

Transparency is a competitive advantage.

All our metrics are public. All our reviews are recorded. Our portfolio companies share revenue numbers, error rates, and churn rates with the network. This level of transparency accelerates learning for everyone. Secrets are a liability.

08
DOCTRINE 08

Build for the decade, not the demo.

We don't fund products built to raise a Series A. We fund products built to become infrastructure that other companies depend on for the next decade. If your system can't survive losing your team, you haven't built infrastructure — you've built a dependency.

If these principles resonate, we want to hear from you.

LockIn Labs is not for everyone. It's for the people who read this and feel like they finally found their operating system.
